North Central Electric and Lorain-Medina Rural Electric cooperatives are pleased to welcome Justis Clifford as the new Director of Communications for both organizations.
Clifford will be responsible for producing and overseeing the effective, proactive, and positive communications of the co-ops to its members, community, trustees, and government officials with the existing communications department.
Clifford graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in political science and has a master’s degree from Kent State University in communications. Prior to accepting this position, he served for almost a decade as the Corporate Communications Supervisor at Ross Environmental Services, Inc. Along with his experience, he brings a positive team-centric attitude and a wealth of knowledge about communications.
“I am beyond excited to join an organization that I have been familiar with for many years as a member already,” Clifford said. “The cooperatives already offer so many amazing programs, such as Our Solar, the People Fund, and to our youth through mentorship and scholarships. I am truly honored to join at such a time to work with the already amazing team to provide further enhancements, benefits, and services to our members.”
In his free-time, Clifford enjoys volunteering at his local Fraternal Order of Eagles, Free & Accepted Masons, and American Legion, spending time with his wife Melissa and four-year-old daughter Melody, doing all things Disney or exploring the local parks and zoos.
Clifford officially began his cooperative career on April 6, 2020.
