Turn on the savings with this energy efficiency rebate
The 2018–19 fiscal year began July 1, and Buckeye Power, our wholesale power supplier, renewed its commercial/industrial lighting program for another year. This allows us to rebate energy-efficient lighting retrofit upgrades for commercial and industrial member facilities — including farms. 

Last year we helped about 18 businesses upgrade their lighting. Along with a nice rebate, businesses can expect an impressive return on investment (ROI) 
when upgrading to LEDs.

The ROI is typically around two to three years
Reduction in lighting maintenance
Using longer-lasting bulbs means fewer bulbs going into landfills
Produce less heat
No mercury hazard Instant light, no warmup period No reduction in lumens over time
Longer warranty
Lighter, less expensive wire can be used 
to power the lighting

With assistance from Buckeye Power, the cooperative can issue rebates up to $15,000. Rebates are based on total lamp watts reduced. Installation must include a technology upgrade, and labor costs are not applicable. Preapproval and final inspection by the cooperative are required. Only one rebate per facility per year is allowed. Projects and all required documentation must be completed by June 15, 2019.
