Lorain-Medina Rural Electric and North Central Electric have selected Shannon Ketvertes as the new Director of Communications for both cooperatives.

Ketvertes, who earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communications from Cleveland State University, has successfully managed a marketing consulting business since 2013, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs with marketing and branding services.

Ketvertes has earned a minor in business management and a certification in graphic design, along with her degree. Her experience has guided her career to award-winning success with a wide range of industries in marketing leadership roles.

“On behalf of the board and employees of Lorain-Medina Rural Electric and North Central Electric, I would like to welcome Shannon to the team. She brings a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of communication’s mediums. I look forward to a long working relationship with her,” Ed VanHoose, president of both cooperatives , said.

Outside of work, Ketvertes enjoys watching Cleveland sports teams, biking in the Cleveland Metroparks, swimming, and music. She also volunteers as Marketing Director for her church’s job seekers networking group.

“I am thrilled to join the Lorain-Medina Rural Electric and North Central Electric cooperatives, and I look forward to leading the branding, marketing, and communications while working with this team,” Ketvertes said. “This is an exciting time of change with a new president, Mr. VanHoose, who has a strategic vision and plans for this cooperative and I look forward to being a part of it and serving the communities in our region.”

Ketvertes will begin her cooperative career on July 15, 2019.
