In June, North Central Electric Cooperative’s Energy Advisor Andrew Finton earned his Certified Key Account Executive (CKAE) certification through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

This program helps key account executives and their electric cooperatives construct and implement a winning key accounts management program, or further strengthen a program already in place, and is open to cooperative employees who assist co-op commercial and industrial members.

“We’re extremely proud of Andrew and his CKAE accomplishment,” Director of Key Accounts and Member Services Kathryn Grasz said. “This program helps our cooperative improve services to our commercial and industrial accounts through the establishment of business goals, the practice of professional sales management, identification of key account profiles, and the application of sound decision making.”

To earn the CKAE certification, program participants must complete the required coursework, an online assessment, and submit a Business Plan and Marketing Strategy for review by an outside business professional within six months of passing the exam.
