Historical Society advances in technology

People Fund grants funding for new computer

The New Washington Historical Society was awarded an $889 People Fund grant to purchase a new computer system for record keeping and research.  

During the April People Fund meeting the board awarded six grants totaling $10,384 to organizations and a North Central member. 

Founded in 1974, The New Washington Historical Society is dedicated to researching, collecting, preserving, interpreting, and educating others about the history of the New Washington area.

The New Washington Historical Society is located above the New Washington Library near the village square. Joe Blum, president of the historical society, encourages everyone to visit and explore history.
