North Central Electric Cooperative is pleased to welcome Janell Yorkowitz as the new Director of Billing Services.

Yorkowitz will be responsible for managing the billing departments at both North Central and its sister cooperative, Lorain-Medina Rural Electric in Wellington, Ohio, overseeing collections, payment processing, and customer service among other duties.  

A graduate of Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, Yorkowitz earned a degree in Communications/Visual Communications & Design and General Business Management. Before accepting the position with LMRE and North Central, she worked as the Director of Business Development and Sales for several major car dealerships, as well as a Customer Service Representative at a propane company.

But more importantly, we look for a person of high integrity who understands the cooperative culture of service to our members above all else,” North Central General Manager Ed VanHoose said. “Janell’s years of experience managing multiple service-oriented employees will help her maintain the levels of service our members expect, while her friendly, professional nature will ensure a smooth transition in the billing department. I am happy to announce her addition to the team and look forward to many years of working with her.”

In her free time, Yorkowitz enjoys watching mystery and action movies, spending time with friends and family, and being actively involved in her local community and church.

Yorkowitz will begin with the cooperative on July 6, 2020.
