North Central Electric Cooperative, in partnership with CoBank, a national cooperative bank, is proud to announce a $10,000 grant to the Fostoria Learning Center.

The funds provided by North Central and CoBank will help the learning center purchase IT equipment to provide valuable on-the-job training to Fostoria area residents.

Assisting local organizations through the CoBank Sharing Success matching grant program has become a tradition for North Central. New Washington Little League and Mohawk Local Schools previously received grants to assist with improvements that promote a safer environment for the children they serve.

“Our community and members deserve to be a priority for North Central Electric,” says North Central General manager Ed VanHoose. “Therefore, we are excited to support the Fostoria Learning Center with these funds, supporting adult education to help improve equity and inclusion in our communities.”

The CoBank’s Sharing Success matching grant program allows NCE to demonstrate “Concern for Community,” one of its seven cooperative principles. Through the program and this grant, NCE can support those in need and help foster the growth of a happy, healthy, and prosperous community education program.
